A postcard is a single stiff card with a picture or message on one side and room for more on the back. Because the paper is firmer than a flyer, it holds up in the mail, on a fridge or at a front desk. Small businesses in Oakville, Mississauga and Burlington use postcards to reach nearby neighbourhoods, bring back past customers and say thank you.

Tips for great results
Treat the front as a billboard. One strong image, one short headline, and a clear next step work better than three competing ideas. Put the details, such as dates, a web address, a phone number and a short offer, on the back.
If you plan to mail your postcards, set aside a clear area on the address side for the recipient's name and address, and keep that area free of dark colour or busy artwork so the writing stays readable. Check with the postal service for current mailing requirements before you finalize the layout. Tell us if you plan to mail them and we will help plan the layout.
Use CMYK colour, 300 dpi images and about 0.125 inch of bleed. Read our file setup guide for details. For a lighter handout, a flyer is the better fit, and our article on print marketing for small business shows how postcards can work with other pieces. A matching business card keeps your branding consistent.
Which postcard size should I choose?
A 4 x 6 is easy to handle and affordable to mail, a 5 x 7 feels more like an invitation, and a 6 x 9 gives you the most space for a big photo.
Are postcards printed on thick paper?
Yes, our postcards are printed on 16pt stock, which is much sturdier than flyer paper.
Can I print a different message on the back?
Yes. Two-sided printing lets you put an image on the front and details, a coupon or a note on the back.
