People in Oakville, Mississauga and Burlington bring us wedding photos, family portraits, landscapes, pet pictures and original artwork. Some want a simple print for a frame, others want a bold piece for a wall or a display. We print your image in full colour on the material that suits the job, and we ship across Canada and the USA or arrange pickup in Oakville.
Materials we print on
- Photo paper: the natural choice for prints that go in a frame or an album. Colours look rich and the surface feels like a traditional photograph.
- Poster paper: available in 20lb, 36lb and 42lb weights. The 20lb sheet is light and suits short-term displays. The 36lb sheet is a good all-round choice. The 42lb sheet is the heaviest and feels the sturdiest in the hand.
- Polypropylene: a synthetic material that handles moisture better than paper, which makes it useful for displays that need a little more toughness.
- Canvas: a textured, gallery-style surface for art and portraits. See our canvas prints page for stretched and ready-to-hang options.
- Vinyl: a flexible, durable material for graphics and displays that need to last.
If you are not sure which material suits your picture, ask us. We will explain the difference and quote the one that fits.

Tips for great results
Use the original file from your camera or phone, not a screenshot or a copy saved from social media. Those copies are compressed and lose detail, and the loss shows once the picture is printed.
Zoom in on the image at full view before you send it. If the eyes, edges and textures look crisp, the photo is a good candidate. If it looks soft or noisy, tell us and we will give you an honest opinion on how it will print.
Colours on a screen glow, and ink on paper does not, so a printed photo can look a little different from what you see on your phone. If a colour matters, such as a skin tone or a favourite blue, tell us before printing. Our file setup guide and the article on print-ready files, bleed, CMYK and resolution explain the basics. For a larger display piece, look at poster printing.
Can you print a photo taken on my phone?
Often yes. Send the original file rather than a copy from a chat app, and we will tell you whether it will hold up for the material you choose.
Which material should I pick for a photo?
Photo paper suits a framed print, canvas suits a wall piece with texture, and poster paper suits a display. Tell us where it will hang and we will recommend one.
Can I send my photos by email or USB?
Yes. Email them to hi@printeh.ca or bring a USB stick to our Oakville shop by arrangement.
